Vtg.40's Beaded Donnybrook Classic Tailored Cinnamon Brown Gaberdine Jacket - XS

Dramatic, beautifully made 1940's suit jacket. Beaded faux pocket flaps and collar,  gorgeous high quality vintage buttons, hand stitched substantial rayon crepe lining in a slightly brighter accent color, bound buttonholes sewn by hand, padded shoulders, waist shaping via tucks above faux pocket flaps. The collar can be worn open or buttoned closed via small button and thread loop closure at top of neckline ( see picture #8).  There are actually no pockets. The faux pocket flaps are decorative. Hourglass shape is achieved through fine tailoring. Tucks above faux pocket flaps draw the waistline in and darts under the flaps release the fabric over the hips. The shoulders are padded. Shoulder pads create the squared shoulder line essential to this look and are not removable. Darts at the elbows shape sleeves. Tailoring is amazing!
