Tree pulp fibers are known as Rayon, Viscose, Modal and Lyocell. They can be made from many different types of trees but most common are Beechwood Trees, Bamboo, and Eucalyptus trees. This type of fiber is also called a Man Made Cellulosic fiber. It can be biodegradable, but it is a long chemical process to turn tree bark into soft supple material! Bronze: branded fibers from Tencel who only use trees from FSC certified forests, embed their fibers with tracers to track the journey and authenticate and who have perfected the manufacturing process ensuring that they are environmentally conscious with a 98% closed loop process. Silver: Look for recycled fibers such as Tencel Refribra, it’s always better to use fibers that exist rather than virgin fibers no matter how sustainably grown they are.
