I've spent a lifetime immersed in the world of fashion. I created the military jewelry after a disappointing job interview. I questioned the way I was utilizing my expertise. @debjross Hi Deb! It's funny you should mention a share group. I'm concerned I may be doing something wrong. I'm a newbie and got 15 sales right out of the gate. I'm semi familiar with how these sites work, but PM is different in many ways. I've gotten nothing for the last four days. ๐ Well, two real lowball offers...which I declined. Tons of Likes and Shares, but no activity. This is really a side thing for me as I am a military jewelry designer and launching my collection in the fall.

@debjross As far as FL...I've been there once already and going down, again, at the end of March. My best friend lives 30 minutes from my daughter so I get to stay with her too! It is hard having my baby girl so far, (we used to hang out at least once a week), but my bff's daughter lives in Japan! ๐ณ Has been for 10 years! And your mother lives in New Zealand, so I guess I just have to "suck it up" and put on my big girl pants! ๐ช๐ช๐ช

@debjross Is joining a share group a big commitment? I work PM around my life. I don't want to get involved with something I can't follow through with, but I put in at least a few hours a day on this site, so maybe I could do it. โบ๏ธ

@dtb122 I've been on PM for almost a year. Have good weeks where I sell a couple of things and then a week or two and sell nothing. I'm not sure if it's better when I'm in a share group but at least more of my closet is seen when I'm on one. You can check them out, I'll give you some of the ones that you can do it just that day or different times of the day. All of them need an @ before there names. Teamsoldout, twangboutique, and charmcity.

@dtb122 bundles don't really mean anything. People do it because they are thinking about buying it but have to think about it. You can ask them if they have any questions or do nothing. I used to ask them that but no response so I don't anymore. Hope this helps.

@dtb122 you are so sweet you didn't have to share mine! Ok so you would have to check them out and see what's good for you. You don't share your own you share theirs. It's hard to say what they do as all of them are different. You would have to sign up the day before to do it or before a certain time. Check them out and tell me which one you would like to pick and I'll go through it with you. Too much to explain it not knowing which one you would like to try.

One of my first best friends of life was my afghan named Jenny. Walked me to the school bus stop everyday and picked me up (and was never late!) Ehat a beautiful daughter you have! I also have a grown daughter who moved to Spain a couple years ago and is now living in China... these photos remind me of the loves in my life. A special thanks to you (for your thoughtfulness) and to those who give of their life for us....Many blessings...

I have learned so much I watched a video about someone yesterday who was on the left and afraid of Trump and she took her through and it was just incredible it but even brought me to piece because I was experiencing fear coming from the other direction. Anyway enough said she is awesomeโฆ And we all could benefit from choosing to live in the now. My daughter and son-in-law were both in the service and have since retired. My son-in-law join the army when he was 18 and at retirement he was 43. Each went to Iraq twice and my daughter spent four years in Germany. They definitely have done their bit. They both suffer from PTSD and are raising a young family. Those who have been in the service see things totally different than those who have not.

@gollysue I can relate to your fear. Most of my friends and family voted for Trump, I supported him from Day 1, but there are friends who hate him and are scared to death of his policies. Since he was elected our President, I've asked them to give him a chance. They won't, so I don't even talk about it anymore. I discuss it with people who are on the same side...no fighting that way. โบ๏ธ

@gollysue I agree. There are some military, law enforcement, firefighters, first responders and border patrol and ICE who are against Trump, but the majority voted for him. I trust their support more than the civilian American. Our military was one of the reasons I loved DJT. He was going to put our heroes front and center...exactly where they belong. ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ

We both like the work of Byron Katie in fact my sister introduced me to her. I told her about the video that I saw a recently and I hope she sees it. It was really helpful. Ok try this- go to charmcity and do her Wednesday share. You have to sign in your closet name with @ . Most of the time she has around 20-30 people that do this. You go from the first person share 10 of their things and then go to the next one. It takes me about 20-30 minutes. So if there are 20 people that night you will have 200 from your closet shared. This does help as they have different followers.

All share places do things a little different. It will depend on what time you want or if you want to do it regularly. If things go well tomorrow and you like it then I'll give you other places. I like the one I gave you as there are a lot of people in that group. It changes depending on who has the time. Always nice to see people have shared yours.

Follow EVERYONE. Especially new people. Share your closet a few times a day if you can. I cannot always do that, so I always share during the night time party. The more followers you have the more sales generally, but also what is in your closet makes a difference. I am still learning. A share group can help get your items seen by fresh people. But switch them up. Do different groups occasionally. houseofposh has a lot of share groups, daily ones, and she is lovely.

Go to the feed, then the person icon and literally follow as many people as you can, when you can. Say HI, invite them to your closet. I don't introduce myself to each one, but I may share an item or 2, or if I don't have a lot of time, I just follow everyone I can. It has made a huge difference in the # of followers and my sales. I also do a lot of welcoming to new Posher's. I've been selling online for years and it's really a hobby for me. I must get up more listings as well. The longer they stay in a closet, the more apt they are to stay and buy. I have trouble with discipline toward my listings. I enjoy the creative part better. lol โบ๏ธ

@jenschonert I think what I love most about what I'm doing, with the military jewelry, is bringing folks together and getting them talking about their stories. My friends and I wear the bracelets and it amazes us how they start conversations. I don't think I've ever worn one without someone, somewhere, mentioning something. @1hermitcrab The treasure you describe sounds lovely. OOAK type of piece. I am building my military website now. I've started this project three times over the past few years. I live and care for my 85 year old father and I promised I would keep him home as long as I was able. He's been in and out of the hospital for 2 years. Broken hip, c-diff, pneumonia, small stroke, falls and dementia...it's been very difficult, but it's full steam ahead now. My time has come and I am so ready! ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ

I usually share at least 10 items in someone's closet. There are people who swear by share groups. @schelenoftroy We are now having bipolar weather here as well. The winds are crazy. Way beyond normal. We even lost a few trees. I was surprised all of them didnโt uproot. ๐ฎ Cold too. Our boots, gloves, scarves, coats and sweaters are already out. Brrrr...๐๐๐

If you go to the party in which youโd like to participate, then RSVP...you can then post it on Pinterest, Tumblr, Twitter, email or text the info to whomever you want. @dtb122 I'm on a similar path, trying to follow Kondo's "Magic of Tidying up" by clearing out all except that which brings me absolute joy. It's ben humbling as I didn't fully realized my tendency towards "conspicuous consumption" until I listed so many NWT, NWOT&EUCs. Trying to create win-wins, but it takes extra discipline to resist temptation when scrolling beautiful wardrobes like yours! I'm constantly reminding myself the mission is to pare down to a few timeless classics I love!

I used to have closets filled with clothes. Iโm 75% downsized. Pretty much all black. Itโs what I wear most. As you said...classics. I canโt believe how easy it is to travel now. โบ๏ธ Three suitcases down to one. lol Although I buy way more than I sell, butโs mostly jewelry now. Rings and bracelets. Iโm addicted. I donโt have enough fingers though. Hahaha...

@ryanjohnlamie12 Never can tell. Sometimes, yes. My daughter who is a pretty heavy seller has sold very little in the past month. Iโve not done much. My bff is a bit slow this month. Who knows? ๐คทโโ๏ธ
There never seems to be any rhyme or reason with online sales. This year the malls are killing it. People feel positive about our economy, right now, so people are out and about.

Theyโre listed, just click the magnifier on the bottom bar. An extra way to buy and sell and share. Hosting a party is something else. If youโre new, you donโt have to worry about that yet. @dtb122 umm, Cash (appropriately named) is hanging in there we spent almost 2 gโs on tests, teeth extraction and 2 night hospital stay, not to mention my flt change. And Debra we still donโt have a diagnosis. Heโs on steroids and very skinny. I think he had a stroke. Heโs 14 & very spoiled. So weโre just keeping an eye on him.

Funny you should mention it...Iโm suffering from i-injury at this time โน๏ธ as Iโm also working on building my website. I am online most of my day lately.
I use a stylus for my iPad and my forearm has been killing me lately. ๐ฉ Iโve been having to take breaks and trying to work with my left hand.
I am nowhere near ambidextrous, so what normally takes a couple of minutes is now taking 10 minutes more. ๐

@fmrp Yes, my bffs and I definitely struggled with the โentitledโ ones. We all have Millennials, but older ones. They drove us crazy too. I know I spent at least $250k to raise my daughter until college graduation. Fortunately she is paying her loans back and I no longer worry about where Iโm going to get the next boatload of money for her. lol She is self sufficient and Iโm making my way back from the debt sinkhole. @almcland As far as selling off your beauties. Life happens. Iโve sold most of everything I owned to survive. As I look back, over the last 10 years, it sickens me what I sold... the collections, the clothes, the jewelry...oy...but Iโm grateful to have had them to sell. ๐๐๐ I was a single mom and they aided in raising my daughter. So itโs all good. Money is the greatest teacher. I learned what I needed and what I didnโt. ๐น๐๐น

@soulcrusher716 Wow...your daughter is a beach body coach and mine in the fitness industry! My daughter, in Florida and Iโm still in MA. My husband would move to Florida in a heartbeat, but my father just passed and I have the house to contend with. I was his caregiver, so weโre until we decide. Iโm sure it will Florida at some point, but I love the 4 seasons, so we may keep this house as well. Many go to Florida for the winter, I will come home! lol Is Florida in your future?

@soulcrusher716 Yes, my daughter and her fiancรฉ love it there. Theyโre now looking for a house. Iโve been visiting every 3-4 months since they moved. Iโm planning a trip for April. I usually stay a week. As I get older, I find I am less tolerant of the heat. Gives me wicked headaches anymore. I would much rather it be cold than hot. When Iโm in Florida, Iโm one big ball of sweat. ๐ฐMy husband hates the cold. Heโs always freezing and Iโm always hot. lol

@dtb122 Remembering how I felt at that age, and have subsequently I tried to manage my mother helped get me through that stage. I have to say that the 2nd and 3rd child did not feel any easier, it just seemed like a revolving door ๐ช of who needed the most attention at any given time.

@steffi3tmc Funny you should speak of your mother...after going through those stages with my daughter, I have to admit she was a piece of cake compared to what I put my mother through. I was a wild child for sure! I was an only child too and itโs a wonder my mom made it to 80. I never realized how much I hurt her until I experienced my daughterโs teenage years.

Oddly enough, I never wanted children. I was much more career driven. One day, at age 35, I woke up and wanted a baby. Go figure. lol However, here we are and I am grateful. โบ๏ธ

Click on the 7pm, which is the 10pm, EST party, and click on it. The RSVP is right there. You will also see which Poshers are hosting the party. I always share at least 12 of each Hostโs items. I hope that helps. ๐น๐๐น

@ewrpmom I donโt really share that much. Itโs too time consuming. Iโd much rather work one or two Posh Parties. I feel my closet gets much more exposure and sales seem to follow. I also greet new Poshers. At least 10 a day. I gain more followers and any of them could be a potential customer. When you share your own items...edit them...one or two letters or switch photos around...then share it. I read the edited listings make a difference in how they show up on PM. ๐๐๐

@debjross Hi Deb. Too funny. I took photographs, this morning, and while editing them, I again noticed they werenโt as crisp as I like. Itโs been like that for a while now. I was thinking I had to make an appointment for an eye exam. ๐ค I love PM. Itโs been more of a hobby, but itโs morphing into something else. Getting a makeover. The momentum is picking up with sales. I have no idea whatโs going on, but Iโm not happy. A woman put together a 4 piece bundle that totaled $120. She offers me $40. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ Another offered me $12 for a $30 dress. @ewrpmom Although a lot of those buyers, who think they can sell, find it much harder than they thought. They post and sell a few things...and itโs over. ๐ The two โEโ sites turned against their sellers too. It certainly makes it more difficult for the seller if the site works against them. PM makes a killing on shipping fees too. However, itโs still a heck of a lot cheaper than brick and mortar. ๐
