THEY SAY THAT A XLARGE IS A 16/18 BUT A 1X IS ACTUALLY A 14/16 PLUS SIZE WHICH MEANS ITS MADE WIDER MAKING IT BIGGER IN THE ARMS HIPS THIGHS BUTT AND STOMACH AREA. HOPE THAT HELPS! I TYPICALLY WEAR XL BUT THE COAT IS DEFINITELY TOO BIG ON ME ESPECIALLY IN THE ARMS.
