WWII US Marine Articulated Sweetheart Brooch ~ VINTAGE Military "Buddy" Brooch

Wonderful, celluloid, "Military Buddy", WWII US MARINE, Sweetheart, Patriotic, Home Front, Articulated Brooch BOOK PIECE. Measuring 2 1/2" x 1" x 1/2" deep with a secure C-clasp. Dressed in a Blue US Marine Dress Uniform, this 1940s figural soldier is composed of celluloid with hand-painted blue, flesh-colored, and gold enamel. The arms and legs, attached by celluloid rings, dangle and move with every motion. A dimensional hat is cocked over one eye, and with a swarthy smile, this US Marine shows attitude! During WWII these brooches were worn to show support for a friend or loved one in the US Marine Corps. Pristine condition - no condition problems. May need a quick swipe with a damp cloth.
