WWII ancient artifacts very old

Solid Silver WWII Artifacts brought home by my Dad who was in the Army different countries came home in 1940's. These were in his box when he passed away in 1968. My Mom kept them safe in her jewelry box until she passed several yrs ago at 98. These are approx 1" in length about 1/4" across. In a silver loop welded onto the piece to wear on a chain. Very heavy. The bottom of this artifact has some kind of writing looks like what you would see in an Egyptian cave? Not sure? Very unique.
