This vintage teapot-shaped ceramic spoon rest is a charming and functional addition to any kitchen or home décor. The spoon rest is made of high-quality ceramic and is decorated with meticulous inking in black. The white glaze is accented by pink around the edges, reminiscent of an airbrush effect, giving it a unique and eye-catching appearance.
Pictured are the Washington Monument, the White House, and the U.S. Capitol building. I'm not sure when this was made but it was most likely in or around the 1960s. I have seen similarly shaped souvenir spoon rests credit to Japan, but this one is unmarked.
It has a space at the top so it may be hung on a wall. There is what appears to be a chip on the back in a small piece that seems inconsequential. Overall the spoon rest is in good condition with some minor wear and tear. It measures approximately 7.25 inches tall and 4 inches wide. It would make a great gift for anyone who loves kitsch, retro charm, or souvenirs. It would also be a great addition to any collection of vintage kitchenware.
