linley_s @daotran127 Yes, sorry about that. As in the last post, I can purchase that same size and quality diamond brand new with GIA certification for less than $500, so unfortunately couldnt go that high on something preowned. If you want to keep the band and just sell the ring Id be happy to offer the same price. Its hard to get "retail" value on a preowned piece but I wish you luck.

daotran127 @linley_s Wait so if I understand you correctly you can get a brand new ring same weight, same clarity and color grade accompanied by a GIA certificate for less than $500??? That’s rare. So if that’s the case, why would you want to buy this pre-owned ring for $400 or $500 then? What’s the difference between a brand new one vs mine? Guess I am just trying to understand consumer buying behavior LOL...

palmaceiamerch @daotran127 Hi. I saw she never responded. It's a beautiful ring. If this helps an appraisal is marked higher always for insurance purposes. If you have jewelry stolen from your home your home insurance has to pay you on the appraised value because that's close to what you might have purchased it for. I hope that helps give you a bit more insight on appraisal values if anything else 🙏☺

daotran127 @adriane_p I think $400 is much too extreme from $1900 appraised value. I mean that’s a 75% variance. I think 50% (max 60%) is more reasonable don’t you? There is no way I would sell this set for $400 or even $500. Not worth the sale at all. I would rather keep and wear or pass down to my daughter later.

disettie These diamonds are very high quality, which demands more money, even though the total ct weight is smaller than some. But I would much rather have a smaller set with beautiful diamonds than a larger set with poor quality diamonds (quality vs quantity). I wouldn't go any lower than $1,500. It's a lovely antique set.

daotran127 @disettie OMG finally someone understands the value of quality diamonds. Thank you mame for explaining that to the world because people want nice quality things but don’t want to pay. If it were me buying this set, I would not mind dropping $1000 or more ($1500) for a quality set because i would still be saving on Posh vs at jewelry store’s retail. I am all about quality just like you. ❤️
