Beautiful Vintage Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston embossed Queen’s Ware Rope Handled Pitcher in Lavender (Light Blue) on Cream.
Made in England. Circa 1940-1974.
It was in 1759 that Josiah Wedgwood founded the Wedgwood Firm in Burslem, England. His greatest achievement and contribution to the British pottery industry was his development and production of cream colored earthenware. Later to be known as Queen’s Ware by royal assent of Queen Charlotte in 1765. This new and beautiful tableware put fine earthenware within reach of most people and his success was immediate and world-wide.
Measures approx. 6 ¾” H x 3 ¼” Top Diameter x 5 ¼” W from handle to spout.
Approx. capacity of 28 fluid ounces to top.
