"Pembroke" is in the corinthian shape with an embosed design. This has a red inner ring and a floral center. I'm unsure of the period that this was made, but embossed marks on the bottom of some show a 47 for 1947. Josiah Wedgwood. He set up his pottery works in Burslem, England in 1759. As this is named Wedgwood, this is from the more famous, Josiah Wedgwood. He came out with the cream-colored earthenware [Ironstone] that pleased Queen Charlotte and she appointed him Royal supplier of dinnerware. He is also known for his Jasperware. He passed in 1795 and his descendants carried on the business, which still produces today. No chips, cracks or crazing. 8 1/2"
