"Wellesley" is off-white with an embossed fruit and circles. This was produced between 1930 - 1969 and is discontinued.
Josiah Wedgwood. He set up his pottery works in Burslem, England in 1759. As this is named Wedgwood, this is from the more famous, Josiah Wedgwood. He came out with the cream-colored earthenware [Ironstone] that pleased Queen Charlotte and she appointed him Royal supplier of dinnerware. He is also known for his Jasperware. He passed in 1795 and his descendants carried on the business, which still produces today.
2 plates have a tiny stain. No chips, cracks or crazing. 7 3/8"
