The leather is smooth & supple.The top of the ankle & tongue is padded for extra comfort & looks great. * Stitched in sole with additional scalloped leather piping on top of the stitching. * 1.5" heel 1" front sole. The boots have a tough edge from the lugged sole's chunkiness & the sleek, classic line of a traditional boot thanks to the top piping * They are very clean & look barely worn. The lugged soles look like they have never stepped outside.
