madame_k Hi! You turned up in my dressing room and you seem knowledgeable.... Can you explain the dressing room and styling to me? I have read the FAQs and "How it works" and I still don't get it. Some things I looked at showed up in my dressing room, but certainly not all. Did the sellers put them in there? If I decided not to buy something, will it offend people if I remove the item from my dressing room, or do they even know that happened? (part 1 of 2)

madame_k Do you ask people to style you if you see a lot of stuff in their closet you like? What is styling exactly? Or do people offer to style you? If so, what prompts them to do so? Why are people following me? When they have followed me, what have they learned? I'm not a seller. If someone makes me an offer and I don't respond, is that considered rude? So far I have looked at a lot of clothes and bought two things. Thanks in advance for your help. (part 2 of 2)

pepperrican @madame_k I will answer all your questions but might have to use multiple comments as I can’t quite remember all of them and can’t see them while I am writing. So style requests are typically made by a shopper like yourself to a closet with so many listings that it’s hard to go through all of them and find what you’re looking for.

pepperrican @madame_k you have the ability in your own settings to select your sizes and those only come up for you unless you make a style request, then the owner of that closet can see them as well. You can request styling for specific occasions or just oh I’m looking for jeans in a 4P. Honestly a bit of the process is still confusing for us sellers that have been here a while, or sometimes people are able to request things we don’t currently carry.

pepperrican @madame_k as far as your dressing room, it should have anything you clicked the “like” button on in the top half and anything direct shared from the buyer to you in the bottom. It is not rude AT ALL to ignore an offer made because you like something. That is just a feature we have to let people know there’s basically a “sale” if you will on something, so zero pressure for you.

pepperrican @madame_k I would say most people click follow on your profile so that their name comes up in your feed in the hopes that you will come check out their closet. It is a softer way to advertise than direct selling by sharing something privately with you when they don’t even know what you’re shopping for.
