More than 5% of our landfills are made up of discarded textiles. Those same textiles take over 200 years to decompose! I believe that buying quality second hand clothing and accessories and taking good care of our clothing with the intent to pass them along is one of the best ways we can reduce our carbon footprint. Buying lightly used and loved clothing helps to support the people in our communities and means one less piece of trash. Second hand for the win!
