West Germany - Vintage Black Velvet Jacket - gold lion’s head buttons - size 44 - by Fordan. Double-breasted jacket with double rows of intricate golden lions’ head buttons; one extra button on interior of jacket in case of loss. Jacket is fully lined in a black-on-black diamond harlequin check pattern. One functional pocket on front left chest. Body of jacket is 100% cotton, lining is viscose. This jacket is at least 33 years old, possibly more, but aside from one thin mark on the front by the buttons, it is in near mint condition. The velvet is soft and plush. The lining is completely intact. The buttons are gorgeous and shining, the fabric shows almost no signs of wear. This beautiful jacket is in extremely good vintage condition. Measures approximately: 44” at the bust & hem, 24” long sleeves measured from an average shoulder seam distance (the sleeves are integrated into the cut of the body), 21” from top of shoulder to bottom of hem.
