Western Horseshoe Necklace

This Western Horseshoe Necklace is made with a vintage belt buckle that is marked Alpaca Mexico on the back. I believe it is partly brass because it polished up nicely. The buckle was a perfect choice for a necklace and is complimented with a spur concho that I took off of a Nocona belt. It is hung on a 24" gold metal box chain with a lobster clasp. The horseshoe buckle measures 2 1/4 X 2 1/4" Alpaca Silver is often used in making alpaca silver jewelry and crafts in Mexico, Central America and South America. It is also common in and has been historically used through out most parts of the world and may go by other names such as German Silver or Nickel Silver. There is no silver in this buckle.
