pakainin Does being "ghetto" imply being Black? I didn't grow up in the US and I've only been here a short time so I'm always figuring out things like this. When the word "ghetto" was first used, I thought the seller was just insinuating crassness and/or being uneducated. I thought it was when the other person replied that she's not ghetto because she's White that I thought things start turning in the racist direction.

jbear IMO... 1.) Saying Louie isn't ghetto 2.) White people are NOT exempt from acting or being "ghetto". And believe it or not, some White people actually live in the ghetto! LOL 3.) I'm white (Italian/Brazilian, born in the US) & I'm so sick of race this race that (in a malicious way) I think racism NEEDS to be talked about in a civil manner bc it's still EVERYWHERE.

jbear PERFECT EXAMPLE of being a cornball: resorting to rude ignorant remarks, particularly about race when you have nothing valid left to argue about. I do have to say by far the wackest Posh argument I've seen in atleast a year. And then white girl pulls the white card so black girl pulls the black card, and guess what Louis doesn't mind being called Louie. And the bag wasn't even for sale.

jbear So moral of my comment: don't like a price? Don't buy it OR make an offer. Think Louie is ghetto and only a black person would say that, well I guess I'm ghetto. I embrace my "ghetto" Louie bags, and I'm "white". I use quotes bc humans are more then color. Although I love being the funniest white girl in the ghetto carrying around my Louis bc now I'm a "fancy" "white" girl👍🏽 Hate Less. Love More. jbear ^^^ PS. Those comments are not intended for anyone on this post, but for the ones that carried on that argument. But I do stand by my thoughts. And ghetto is a term that has been around for almost every race that was once impoverished and/or broken down. In some cases, ghettos can create products of their environments. Products meaning humans, humans of all colors and backgrounds. But I won't get into my history lessons on Posh.
