The 2002 Official White House Historical Ornament reflects elements of the 1902 restoration by Architects McKim, Mead & White during the Theo Roosevelt administration.
An Acyrillic Crystal-like center assimilates the Bohemian glass of the chandeliers in the East Room during that period. The brass-like frame includes ribbon and acanthus leaves from the Louis XVI style wall panels. The eagle at the top was inspired by the carved mahogany pedestals of the console tables.
The Ornament is made in America and individually gift boxed.
It is approximately 3 inches in diameter and is housed in its original red and blue box with accompanying descriptive booklet. The ornament and box show minor signs of wear consistent with previous display, but are in overall very good condition.
