A long white lace princess dress from the 1950s. with illusion bodice & long sleeves that end in pointed cuffs, a pointed waist line. & wired collar so you can make it stand up or bend outward as you like. Many satin covered buttons that close with loop buttonholes up the back & matching buttons w/ loops at the wrists. 3 layer skirt: lace, tulle & satin. Lined in satin. Beautiful & romantic! Could be used as an actual wedding dress or a beautiful photo costume, or a dress up costume for young girls. Pure fantasy. Found at an estate sale.
Sold as is: Dress is in very good condition without any holes or structural damage, but will need dry cleaning & professional steaming if you intend to wear it as an actual wedding dress. As a photo costume or dress up gown it is fine as is!
Originally worn as a wedding dress & stored without professional cleaning in the 1950s so has very faint underarm soiling on inner lining layer. This has not carried over onto the outer lace layer & is so faint I could not get it to show up in a photo. I did not see it until I went over the inside lining layer of the dress very carefully at home under strong artificial light. In my personal experience this type of soiling lifts w/dry-cleaning.
I have not had it professionally cleaned because doing so will increase the price considerably.
Decided to leave this to the buyer as she might just want to get a good deal & use as is for photos or a dress up gown.
