White Shoulders Art Nouveau powder boxes 1949

The bath dusting powder was launched by the design house of Evyan in 1949 in New York City. The White Shoulders scent was very popular in this period. The top of each box has a detailed Art Nouveau scene with a girl on a tree hammock with nearby roses. The bordering swirls help indicate the scene as art nouveau. The left box is unopened and has the original powder and puff. The center box is empty as pictured. The right box has been opened and has a white puff and also powder.
