Whiting Davis Necklace Vintage Signed Locket Gold Tone Mother of Pearl 28"

Vintage Whiting Davis necklace with large locket. 28" in length. the locket measures 2 1/8" x 1 5/8" (without the piece from which it hangs) Gold tone (not plated) with a mother of pearl insert in the front From what I have read, this piece should be pre-1980 as that is when the company quit making non-mesh jewelry. Being that is has no copyright symbol, it should date early 50's
