Whittall & Shon Red and Black Hat Vintage 1980s

A showstopper of a hat from circa the Eighties! Rich red felt trimmed in wide black velvet ribbon, looped cord trim, Swiss dot flocked netting, and a few black feathers. Shape of hat tilts down in front with the back popping up and showing a ribbon bow. Brim is attached to a cap-like interior hat that is trimmed in soutache braid and has a thin elastic for under the hair to hold hat in place (I've been told this is not a chin strap). In good vintage condition with regular wear (see pictures). Bollman hat base in 100% wool felt with the design by Whittall & Shon. A very glamorous accessory--- the perfect topper for your outfit!
