Wholecut Oxford 12 C Johnston & Murphy Premium Collection 1970s Excellent cond

Vintage Leather Oxford Size 12 C (Narrow) Unmistakably Johnston & Murphy Premium Collection Made in USA Elegant shoes with narrow waist and a spade sole. The "Unmistakably" Johnston & Murphy in the footbed logo dates these to early 1970s (there are several paper ads with "Unmistakably" on the bay, all are '72 to '74). I am not entirely certain that this is a wholecut shoe. There is stitching at the laces, but it looks decorative. The tongue is stitched on (to one side).  The leather lining prevents certainty, but it doesn't feel like a layer overlaps at the laces. The condition of these vintage shoes is very good: I think these are the original soles and heels (with toe and heel guards). They show little use. The uppers have some creasing (in the usual spots). The uppers have no cracks, no nicks, no scratches, no stains. These shoes are shy of "Excellent" because the top edge of the heel box (in black) does have some tiny cracks. See photos. NOTE: all photos were taken with no polish! In prep for sale, I cleaned and conditioned. These looked so good, that I stopped there; thinking that collectors would prefer this approach. No polish, no touch ups. Nothing stuffed inside. Always stored with trees, and I would clean + condition every couple of years even if not worn. All in all, a lovely elegant shoe in beautiful light reddish brown leather. Made in USA. I am retired and downsizing. Make a bundle, make an offer. Enjoy
