Did someone else buy the company? Did the graphic artists all die? Did they figure out that fools will buy any ugly thing that says unif on it? Am i in a nightmare? They used to make sweet graphic tees. Now theyre full of overpriced basic ass sweaters and ugly monograms shirts that say boys names like bob or steve? What the hell unif. bassbunny Honestly they're probably trying to take advantage of people who will buy anything. Those sweaters are really nothing special. I love their tie dye and their melt print and the holographic material was pretty neat. Other than that I've read some reviews about the deterioration of the quality as well. thebadword @bassbunny thank you for weighing in, i was starting to think it was just me! Unif's new ugly clothes have been bothering me for awhile. Im really disappointed in the company - they used to be my (and a lot of others) favorite brand but theyre completely different now. Theyre just being greedy and dont make quality or unique items anymore.

thebadword @bassbunny yes!! Tbh i didnt even like the fruit collection to begin with. I thought they looked basic and cheap for the price but its nowhere near as bad as their new collection! I wonder if its the same designer as the fruit hats now that you mention it. I miss the graphic designs soo bad!! Id actually save up to afford those shirts. I wish they'd collab with the artist(s?) who put unif on the map.

thebadword @kelliiwamoto THANK YOU! Yeah everything is cheaply made with the name unif plastered on front to justify the $75 price tag. I never liked unif for the name or "brand". I loved them because they created really unique art that was clever,mean&innapropriate. Or made creative designs like their moto jackets&leggings with the knee cut outs. Now it all looks like Haines basics with embroidery of weird weird stuff. And not the good weird. The tees that say steve and bob were the final straw for me.

I discovered the brand recently ish (last year) but it's my fav. They have the BEST graphic tees, hands down. (*real* graphics, I mean.. not "guy name" or [insert fruit here])

The graphics are what made people notice them - its truely bewildering to me that they would stop making those cool shirts and instead start branding unif everywhere like the name mattered more than the quality. At least sell some old designs! (The clearance tees dont count theyre just trying to get rid of them) let's all pray for unif's soul. Please just be a phase!!

tamarafashion Ugh I noticed that too, that's why I always check back in stock becausd that's the only good stuff. I miss all the distressed sarcastic tees. (Still looking for your shitt bums me out t) That's the reason that I buy old unif on these apps. Also their quality has decreased because they used to make their clothes in the US and now it's made in China. My unif collection is small, but I'm building from old unif. I loved the underground look they had but now most of their stuff is really basic

tayc0x I get what like early 2000's "look" they're going for, but tbh they're not doing it well and you're right the graphics suck now. I remember a year or two ago even I would be lusting after everything that came out (and buying way too much) but I don't think I've ordered something in 10 months. They're quality has gone down and the designs n graphics are basic biTtchh sh. Glad you said something !🙃😆

justakitty They probably ran out of ideas for spring stuff. I recently discovered UNIF's existence (along with my sense of style) and I really hate how I missed out on everything cute. Hopefully they bring back some old favorites and/or new ones that are similar in style to their most favorited items for summertime. It doesn't hurt to message them about it though!

singaporejones Sadly seems like par for the course. Wildfox has gotten hit or miss too (or maybe that's me missing the days of Romeo & Juliet quotes?). Anybody remember e.vil? Those were awesome until they devolved into random image + glitter. (A fave: WWBD (what would Bowie do?)) It would be great to see a witty, well-made independent line stick to its roots once it goes viral, but that's often when the original designers jump ship to do something else shazam (I'm looking at you, All Saints).

kimbefndnd I miss the older stuff too, thing is, I was too young to have a job and couldn't afford anything 😂 However, I bought some stuff from this year's sample sale and nothing was a consistent fit. Plex Top (M/L) was way too tiny, Badsport crop top was fine (M), Stevie Top (I think? It was a large) was a perfect fit, and the bra I bought was a Medium but it RIPPED from me trying to put it on. I wear a small or medium in all bralettes!

The designs "worked" for me before, it was more age range/versatile, reminded me of what I wore in the 90s- at 34 yrs old, I'm NOT wearing a sweater knitted w different names of fruit through out- uh I wouldn't wear that if I were 16. I was talking to one of their online chat ppl when I ordered and told them to release new nightmare pug apparel, and the person said there was actually going to be some soon!! So maybe they're listening to our complaints? Their new collection should be out next week? Idk I hope to see more of nightmare and other crazy stuff like that

dear_percocet Their new stuff is HORRIBLE. So much so that I emailed them about it. I asked if they'd ever return to their old style and the gave the basic "you never know what might happen but right now this is our new line." Like many I'm on Posh/eBay/Depop looking for items I missed out on. Also - has anyone else been on waiting lists for things that have taken months/years to restock, IF they restock it at all?? UGH my disappointment in this brand grows with every email I get from them.

thread_vault Unif actually started charging less $ since the beginning of 2015 i noticed, since they were developing more notoriety, they lowered prices. They also realized they should be putting their labels more on the clothing to get more commercialization and maybe make the customer feel like its money worth being spent. I do agree that some materials they have released lately are cheaper probably to make more of the one piece. But they are still under the same founders

thread_vault i guess theyre making their style appealing to all different types of fashion and peoples tastes, thats why they didn't stick with what they were doing with the graphic tees and distressed sweaters as much bc they probably wanted a bigger fanbase and figured to change it up a bit i guess. The new side of UNIF is cool though, theyre showing how they can adapt to a lot of different 90s/dark wave styles.

They print what they think their audience will buy... Made in USA, first starts, are often originators ideals. I know. :( was wondering if I should sell my Hellbounds. They're new. summerbabe08080 @thebadword I actually just discovered Rosa brand bc im a huge Wildfox junkie, and heard of it thru other Wildfox fans. I looked it up and thought ew...what's all the hype about? Then I realized as worth Wildfox, they're getting cheaper and less desirable...since Kim left the company (Wildfox) their designs took a huge nose dive in creativity and design. I suspect something similar happened to this once remarkable brand. 😔😔😔

gratefulphish Idk of any one else has experienced this but One thing that bugs me about unif is the quality of some of there clothes is very cheap. I found out that it's better to hand wash anything unif cause if you don't the lining gets f'ed up or you get little rips or lose treads. It just annoying because of how much one spends on one article of clothing.

axtjustice I just had this random thought about UNIF because I hadn’t been to the site in a while, went to their IG page and swear to god I thought I had the wrong company. It’s like they went from goth to grunge overnight. Like I get the late 90’s early/2000s thing (I lived through it) but now all this stuff looks like somebody found some old Delia’s catalogs and turned it into a whole line of clothing 😩😆
