"GUE23" has floral in circle in colors of gold, blue and purple with green leaves. The green mark with Limoge above and France below was used from 1900 - 1932. The red mark was used from 1891 - 1932. This has a faun/satyr pattern [satyr is a wild and inebriated nature spirit in Greek mythology. A faun is a nature spirit from Roman mythology. This set was made to be sold by Charles Meyer & Co. Since 1840, Charles Mayer & co. has imported fine tableware and home furnishings. William Guerin in 1836 rented a porcelain decorating workshop located in France. In 1872, he bought a workshop from Lebon and Cie. In 1911, Guerin and Cie merged with the Pouyat factory. The company was taken over in 1920 by Bawo & Dotter – new name: Guerin, Pouyat, Elite Ltd. They closed in 1932 due to financial crisis. Some ink marks under glaze. No chips or cracks. 8 1/2"
