A Tribute to Vincent Van Gogh In February 1888, 35-year-old Van Gogh came to Arles to search for his sunshine, wheat fields, and sunflowers. After Van Gogh came to Arles, he was very excited, his creation reached a climax, and even reached the point of ecstasy. He is obsessed with sunflowers.
