This is a Wood Wall Plaque With A Copper Whale. Preowned Good Condition. 5.5" x 3.5". Here is the story behind the plaque - (The Delaware, a cargo ship that was sometimes used to carry passengers, caught fire and burned to the waterline on July 9, 1889. She sank in 70 feet of water 1.5 miles off Bay Head, New Jersey. The whale was crafted from a piece of copper sheathing that was used to protect the bottom of the ship.
