WvG bonded wool walker coat

You are probably not familiar with the Wolf vs Goat brand unless you were on Styleforum in the early 2010s or you really love getting nice t-shirts several months after promised delivery, but you don't need to know that Mauro's labor of love makes some exacting clothes comparable to the best around to know that by buying this, you'll be the coolest person in whatever room you find yourself. This coat was a sample, and as such does not feature a care tag, but if I recall it's some insane Loro Piana bonded wool thing that actually doubles as a rain coat. Irrespective of the wool/cashmere/whatever content, the hand is super soft without feeling precious, which, let's be real, is the holy grail of wool outerwear. The peak lapel styling, big fancy buttons (horn, I think?) and striking color are buttressed by the ticket pocket (kinda dates it) and pick stitching. Put together by the famous Southwick factory (RIP), you know this MiUSA jacket is the real deal. Look, I'm gonna level with you: me and this coat had some great times, but now it fails the hug test so I can't justify keeping it. I WILL tell you that some critter got to it: I don't know how, probably one of my stints as a room sharer in an old house, but there is a small hole on the left sleeve and some mysterious wear on the back. Pictured, but hard to see. If this kind of thing bothers you, do not buy this. You'll be the only one to notice, though. Best for a 40, fits trim but not skinny.
