Y2K Holland Dutch Wooden shoes souvenir

Just a little over 3 inches long. These adorable wooden shoes from Holland were brought home by my husband when he used to travel a lot for work. They have beautiful flower reliefs on the side and a traditional Dutch, windmill upfront. They are attached by a red, white and blue mesh string. I am unsure of what the material is that they are made out of, they are very heavy. Just very beautiful little decoration or tchotchke.
