Hi everyone I am Angelini. Just like you all, I ❤️ beautiful items and I curate them carefully. If I like something, I tend to buy it in many colors. If I am unsure of the fit, I tend to buy many sizes… then I forget to return the rest. It’s why I started this closet on Poshmark. All the items I am sharing here are items from my personal closet that I chose carefully to represent me. Some just did not fit or no longer fit as I have had a roller coaster journey on my weight since Covid. I want these pieces from my closet to go to good homes where they will be loved, valued, and taken on adventures. Like all the socks that I know are off living their best life because where else could they be 🤔🙃😁 if you have any questions let me know. I am barely getting back to social media so you may add me on there too.

cconniess1 I'm attempting to send you a counter offer on the Tortoise Shell Chanel sunglasses. it won't allow me to. my best and final is $235 if you send an offer for that, I'll accept it immediately. thank you for your interest in the item and, by the way, your closet is BEAUTIFUL!!

sangelinic @cconniess1 hello there! The reason that it won’t allow you to send that offer is because is higher than your last offer of $225 & free shipping which would have been an earnings to you of $172.03. I submitted to you an offer of $220 and I pay shipping which would have been earnings to you of $176. Curiously, as I have nothing against Poshers setting prices to whatever they think fit, but why are you charging me more than the last offer? Even after I tried to do better than your last offer…

sangelinic I hope you don’t take offense to the question as I am just curious.

cconniess1 @sangelinic because they officially started taxing me

sangelinic @cconniess1 who did? Did Poshmark change something? I just sold something and they still seem to charge the same taxes based on where the seller is from.

sangelinic @cconniess1 can’t allow the tax man to take more than their share. You shouldn’t be paying anything in taxes on the items you sold as they are at a loss from original price.

cconniess1 @sangelinic I'm receiving a 1099 from posh now. that adds to my annual income

sangelinic @cconniess1 not really. I have a business. I’m an s-corp now, was an llc for a while, self employed for eight years. You deduct from what you originally paid for the items. Unless you got the items for free, the tax hit is not bad. You should never pay taxes on the full amount on you 1099. There is a place on your tax form for that amount then you subtract what was actually paid for your items.

sangelinic @cconniess1 anyway, look, I have a bit of a small Texas town mind that if you told me one price then you raise your price, you’re trying to pull one on me. I have to think about it because it makes me feel a negative kind of way. Like you would give anyone else but me a lower price for some odd reason. So, I’ll think about it and get back to you.

sangelinic @cconniess1 just to add, on top of deducting the original price of items on your taxes, you can deduct shipping supplies and anything else required to ship an item. Don’t let the tax man get you.

cconniess1
cconniess1 @sangelinic I can only do that if I have an actual llc that encompasses these transactions. I didn't mean to make you feel that way and I understand why you did. I hope you have a good night and that your business thrives

sangelinic @cconniess1 “If you are not operating as a business, then you can report the income and expenses as Capital Sales. If your expenses (including the cost basis, fees, shipping and handling costs) are more than the income, then there won't be any tax liability for these items. Depending on the type of items and how long you owned them, you might be able to use up to $3,000 of Capital Losses to offset other income.” Your cost basis being fair market value if you don’t have receipts.

sangelinic @cconniess1 my best friends family owns one of the best accounting firms in the city where I only sort of live lol as I spend most of my time in the middle of nowhere working. They take care of all the larger businesses and high income earners. They have taught me a lot and I do like to share what I’ve learned so others do not get taken advantage of. When you are not making much, why pay what you don’t have to?

sangelinic @cconniess1 I made you the offer you wanted. I will only be at my house until Friday and won’t be back until February. If you can ship them out Monday I’d be appreciative if you accepted my offer. Otherwise, I’ll have to rescind my offer because I may not get them in time before I leave.

sangelinic @cconniess1 know it well. I’ve been working about 330 days a year since the pandemic started in 20 to make it. But hopefully there are clearer days ahead for us all. And spending on the occasional treat makes it more bearable doesn’t it?
