It comes with a lifetime warrantee from Zales for cleaning and stone replacements. Additionally, you can upgrade for any ring with a higher value. This ring’s value is $6200. So if you picked a new ring for $8000 you would put the difference $1800. The size 8. Originally it was 2 small bands but Zales connected two small bands into one, so all 3 pieces fits perfectly as a set. I have all documentation for the ring.

@kymmi1 that actually is true with zales rings. I have upgraded before and they gave me half value for my ring so if you want a different one of the same value it indeed needs to be double.

Also worked at zales. They won’t even transfer lifetime warranties. The only way you can keep the warranty is if it stays in the buyers name. They have a lot of rules and stipulations with that stuff.

Also Zales rings do go down in value that’s why a current appraisal is need if it wasn’t bought recently. Literally as soon as you buy it, the value of the ring does go down because it is now considered used and the longer you have it the lower the value. That is how Zales works. They also do appraisals and I would love to see one because I am indeed very interested.

@kymmi1 I worked at zales. I can tell you the longer you have the ring the more value it loses. It’s important to get the appraisal. Regardless of what you paid for it or asked for, the value can be less. If you don’t get an appraisal, I don’t know the value to give an offer. Zales doesn’t switch over warranties so it would even have to stay in your name. I will 100% for sure buy it if an appraisal is done, but I need to know its current value, condition, any loose settings, clarity…

I showed them the pictures, and they were able to look up the ring so I put $100 extra what they believe the value should be at this time.

I just made my last offer. You can accept or decline, I have another ring that almost looks identical but doesn’t have the second band for $400 less than my offer price so it’s up to you. If not I will just get the one for $1,950. It is also one carat as well and I just can’t justify spending more than my last offer with the taxes and working at zales and knowing how it works.

Thank you for accepting the offer. I will for sure buy it. I truly appreciate it and am thankful for any paperwork you send with it. I will complete the order tomorrow or the next day depending on when my bank releases the hold on my tax refund. They said either tomorrow or Thursday for sure. But again I will for sure buy it from you. The funds were supposed to be in the account today, but our bank has a 1 to 2 day hold on all funds over a certain amount which I didn’t know. New bank.

@kymmi1 oh it’s processing in the account. We can see it. I wish I could post a pic to prove that to you, but I literally promise it will be coming tomorrow or day after. The bank said it can only be held max two days. The hold was because had to be a paper check through our tax service due to us trying a rapid refund which denied so that’s why there was a hold in the first place even though they can literally just call and verify it. The tax place is not even two minutes away from the bank…

Listen, I’m in WV… when I take the ring in for a resize and possible soldering, if they call you, can you just say I’m family and running this in for you because I’m going to use your paperwork to keep the warranty and just act like I’m just doing stuff for ya. If that’s okay with you. Please just let me know. I won’t say that if don’t want me to, but I will
lose the warranty which would suck.

@kymmi1 ma’am they won’t resize it unless they do a half shank. They charge $400 per band because they can’t do a regular resizing due to the bands being too skinny. They consider it 3 bands so it’s $1200. I don’t know if you would consider paypaling that amount so I can get it half shanked so I can wear it or not, but I just don’t have that. I spent all my money on this ring. My husband is a disabled veteran and lost his job for joining the union. I just don’t know what to do

I’m trying not to beg but I just don’t know what to do. I was basically crying. They did the cleaning and put a metal thing on it but it’s too big even with the ring guard. I wear a 4 1/2. I never expected that at all.

@kymmi1 yeah I received the ring but they won’t resize it. They will only repair it under something called a “half shank” which is $400 per band. I need a 4 1/2 size and they won’t do it unless it’s a half shank. So I can’t wear it.

I just can’t get an actual resize. It has to be a half shank to go from the 8 to the 41/2. They consider it a repair so it’s not covered under the lifetime. I literally started crying in the store.

They have never did this for any of my other rings that I got resized so I never expected this. But like I said I don’t expect you to give partial money back, but again I’m out of options so I figured I would at least ask. I wouldn’t ask otherwise. They said no matter what size it would need changed to big or small the half shank was necessary

When I looked up a half shank it said A half shank is something that a ring shouldn't need until it is significantly worn with age, not because the jeweler who sized it took off too much material. So I don’t understand
