Are they a sock fit around the ankle?

@mleblanc50 The shoes are big on me so they don't fit as tight around my ankle. The fabric above the middle seam is softer and more fitting (like other sock boots material), while the rest of the shoe is more rigid to hold it's shape. I've also added a picture of the inside. Hope that makes sense!
