@strawberrytab the pants are a large and very true to size. I do not recommend for an XL, may fit a M with a larger backside. The inseam is 27" and the outer seam is 38".

@strawberrytab 10-12 would be preferable but if you are an 8 who is blessed with a nice backside, the pants will fit perfectly
