seakareem @emptynest23 hi! So sorry for delay- I was unexpectedly without wifi for a few days on a work trip. The briefcase is 16" across and 12" tall. It's about 4.5" wide, could easily fit laptop plus books and folders etc. The straps are Bout 12" from the bag to your shoulder. On the purse : approx 11" across, 8" tall, and approx 4" wide. Straps on purse are about 8" tall openings. I ship with a small free gift. Let me Know if you have any other questions.

seakareem @emptynest23 good luck finding the right bag for you! This one does have a matching purse which is really cute. You can see it in my closet. When you bundle the two together, it's only $56 for the whole thing once you receive a bundle discount
