Zellique Studio Art Glass Vase is purple with an irridescent swirling applied trim on amethyst, 8 1/4" tall, signed, excellent condition. Dated April 1987; purchased in NY. Recent auction prices estimate value at $100 - $200. First photo is from auction house of a similar one as my lighting is not as good. Zellique Art Glass is well known internationally for their uniquely beautiful and intricately detailed art glass creations. The famed glass studio was founded by master glassblower Joseph Morel in 1980. Joseph’s career in the world of art glass began when he took a glassblowing class as a senior in college. Thus began his love of creating art glass and he continued to develop his skill and techniques after graduating from college. After several years he opened Zellique Art Glass.
