barefootmuse @ljk729 Linda, it’s a pleasure to meet you as well - thank you! My family is in Hawaii (except for my daughter, she goes to college in Miami, FL). My partner + I live in Blue Ridge, GA - it’s up in the northern mountains, SO beautiful. My name, Asha, was given to me when I was little, by my Cherokee Mother. She also gifted me w/my very first piece of Zuni jewelry. It was the most gloriously beautiful thing I had ever seen!

barefootmuse @ljk729 And I always had an affinity for First American (that’s the term I’ve recently started to use) culture, history, traditions etc ... anyhow, I seem to be drawn to all of the history of Natives everywhere. The Hawaiian natives of course, and we do go back and forth but not as often right now. I was there for a couple of months last year, caring for my Dad before he passed over.
