Zuni Mother of Pearl Carved Heshi Shell Fetish Necklace 23" 1970’s From Arizona

This beautiful necklace is a unique piece of Native American jewelry created by an Arizona Zuni artist. The necklace features intricately carved white mother of pearl fetish birds accented with heshi beads. The necklace measures 23 inches in length and is perfect for both casual and formal occasions and the necklace is an exquisite example of their traditional Zuni style. This necklace was purchased near Sedona AZ by my grandmother in the early 70’s My grandmother was told this was created by the renowned Zuni artist Lena Boone who is thought to be the first female carver in the Zuni tribe. I was told it wasn’t (by one of her children) it is however very well made.
