Zuni Turquoise Coral Ring 50s 70s Early Nieto or Calavaza Heavy Silver Snake…

Stunning very old Vintage Zuni Ring with bezel set rustic chunks of Turquoise and red Coral. Thick walled saddle Ring attributed to either Nieto or Early Juan or Calavaza. Made with Heavy sandcast Silver (tested) mens Sz 10 on a ring mandrel It’s Most likely from 1950s mid century to 1960s as Juan died in 1970, many pieces prior to 70s were unsigned. The textured snake is really important here. Early examples of Nieto are like this but I was also told it could be a Juan Calavaza attributed piece as later on his wife Effie’s were most always smooth faced. The Calavaza family has many makers and are known for this signature snake in different numbers and configurations their legacy of craftsmanship is well respected. This is being offered un polished with original patina. It’s got age and charm, inside has an old solder repair most likely there to smooth out the interior from sand casting process, I find no marks but it is pretty blackened It weighs 1.9 oz which is over 53 g?
