antique 1920s ombre silk nightgown/slip dress w beaded flowers & black lace trim

it is with a heavy heart that i list this baby. i have put it off because it's just so gorgeous-- i've actually have had it hanging on my wall for ages as decor because i love it so much, but i think it's time for someone else to show it off. i can't make up my mind up about whether it was originally colored like this or if someone came along and dyed it, but the colors are incredible either way. the black lace trim is very, very fine, as is the silk. the beadwork & rosettes at the front neckline are to die for. and the little rosebuds on the straps! 🥺🥺🥺 clearly this dress has been well loved-- there is a sizable tear under the bust and a couple of smaller ones throughout. i've included photos of them. most notably, the dress is split almost the entire way up the side seam although fortunately the lace at the bottom didn't tear with it. i honestly think this could look suuuuuper cool stitched up if you're handy with a needle and thread. it's delicate but absolutely wearable. it won't dissolve upon first contact like some other very old pieces i've seen and owned, haha. approximate measurements (lying flat): bust: 40" widest point across the bottom: 49.5" length: 45" note: i live with cats and am always careful to thoroughly lint roll items (fabric permitting) before shipping, but use discretion if you have allergies!
