Handmade in my pet-free smoke-free sewing studio. The approximate measurements of my gaiter are 9.5 inches x 10 inches when laid flat with a neck opening that comfortably fits up to 24 inch head circumference. Folds flat for easy storage anywhere: purse, book bag, diaper bag, backpack, or pocket. Before cutting the pattern, I prewash all my fabric with Arm & Hammer dye-free and fragrance-free laundry detergent. This helps to remove any dust or debris from the factory. I make my designs from super soft, vegan-friendly synthetic fleece that is a lightweight, warm, and comfortable strong pile fabric meant to mimic and, in some ways, surpass wool, having some of wool's finest qualities, but weighing a fraction of the lightest available woolens. Fleece is moisture-resistant and highly breathable, avoiding the buildup of natural odors. Polyester fleece is also water-repellent and doesn’t hold water easily, making it quick to dry. Also considered more environmentally friendly than wool as it is often made from recycled plastic bottles, it is a wonderful vegan alternative to wool. Fleece is also a great option for people allergic to wool or those with skin sensitivities. Machine wash your design with like colors in cold water. Hang or lay flat to air dry or on LOW heat only in a clothes dryer to avoid the risk of melted/fused spots on the synthetic fibers.
