Charles Nolan (1957 – 2011) was an American fashion designer. Raised in the New York City, he graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology and then went on to work for designers Frank Tignino and Bill Haire. Subsequent to those assignments he designed licensed products for Bill Blass and Christian Dior, before assuming leading roles as the Ellen Tracy and Anne Klein. Nolan launched his own signature line in 2004. The line was available only at his own store on Gansevoort Street in the New York City borough of Manhattan and through an exclusive deal at Saks Fifth Avenue. This skirt is one of his pieces.
This is a charcoal gray, pleated wool blend wrap skirt designed with an a-line silhouette and flounce hem. Elevated details include a front closure with four snaps and a button, and a ribbon-trimmed waist. The fabric is a high-quality wool blend, for a soft, heavy-weight, stretchy fit that is not itchy.
