Solitaire Engagement Ring. Size 8. Wasn't worn long or much. (I'm not a big fan of jewelry & the engagement was short lived). I don't know all the fancy terms for jewelry to state. The #s & letters engraved on the inside of the ring are: 1/4 10 LSC 14K (pic included). ***It pairs nicely with the 🆕 silver wedding band set listed for separate sale*** (pics included)

mygypsycloud @katsclothing Normally, you won't see a diamond, especially one if that size in a silver band Take it to a jewelry store for a cleaning, most do that for free While you there, just let them know your not sure what the band is ect Depending on the weight of the band and the karet of the diamond, you are probably selling yourself short here, by well over a grand The jeweler may even offer to buy it on the spot for twice what you have it listed for 💙💙

lindstotz Is this still available? Interested if you can take a photo of the engraving on the band?

katsclothing @lindstotz hi I tried taking a pic of it when posting. When I zoom in it makes the engraving blurry. That's why I need to get my hands on a magnifying glass to see if I can then read what is stamped inside. I will try to remember to see if someone has one I can borrow tonight. Thx!

rkaypass
rkaypass I would take it off here and take it to a jewelry store. I believe it may be a Leo Diamond, which could be quite pricey. I would have it checked out. The 14k is probably white gold. Just being honest. I would want someone to tell me if they thought I had something of more value than posted. That way at least you will know.

sharosmith @katsclothing as a seller you should provide the following information about the diamond (known as the 4 C’s) what is the carat size, the clarity, the cut and color.

katsclothing @sharosmith Sorry, i don’t know those details. This is a simple, yet elegant engagement ring. 💍 I’m not asking $1,000 for it. I’m not a jewelry person. Nor an experienced fashion seller. I don’t even know what clarity is? Maybe you could be more helpful in telling me how to figure these things out instead of telling me what I should and shouldn’t be doing??!!??

sharosmith
sharosmith @katsclothing you don’t have to figure it out, either the original paperwork will include it or a jeweler can easily tell you. The 1/4 inside the band probably indicates the CARAT SIZE : is 1/4 carat. CUT: Marquis. The CLARITY: indicates blemishes in the diamond. A diamond COLOR is judged from D (colorless) to Z (Brown). G or H is a decent diamond. I easily googled this information (which is important because it helps determine your price.

katsclothing @sharosmith My ex-fiancé did not provide the receipt when he presented me with the ring (is that something he should have done?). I’ve never been to a jeweler before. So I would not know these things. If you read the description you would have seen where I state that I don’t know much about it (or jewelry in general). And in the previous comments you can see where some generous people have offered guidance. They all did it politely. I appreciate your help, don’t get me wrong...

katsclothing But to scold me on the public forum as if I am not a good seller when I state right in the posting that I do not have the knowledge is inappropriate. Next time please reach out to sellers privately (as one commenter did) or read a sellers description to better word your statements. It goes a long way... Thank you for the information!

sp062794
sp062794 To settle any debates, that's a lovely, dainty, one quarter carat, marquise cut diamond in a solitaire, white gold setting... It's a beautiful piece of work. Simple and elegant. You should not sell that for anything short of $500. Especially if there's no build up in the crevices between the stone and the setting.

sp062794
sp062794 To ensure you get what it's worth for it, you really should go to a jeweler's and get it appraised for the diamond color and clarity. Depending on those 2 things it's top retail value could be up to $1,200...

sp062794 I hope I phrased things more politely than others. Best wishes to you. Selling in general, especially jewelry can be difficult. You're doing fine. However I hope someone doesn't try taking advantage of not knowing. Good luck my dear.♥️
