gold tone heart earrings with rhinestone

my dad gave these to me in the late 90s but i had outgrown gold tones by then. i am under the impression it is some form of gold and that the stone is cubic zirconia, but i do not know for sure. the hearts are tiny and the posts appear bent but i mever wore them. it looks like they are supposed to be that way. comes with box.
