iPhone 8 Perfect Cosmetic Condition But Doesn’t Charge

We got this iPhone 8 as an insurance replacement for my husband’s old iPhone he but never used it because he upgraded to a 12. So over a year later, I tried to activate it when my phone stopped working only to discover that it will not charge. It likely only needs a battery but I am not positive. It comes in its original box but I have used the charger and earphones so those are not included. This phone is in perfect cosmetic condition with no scratches or physical damage at all. I think it’s a 64g but I really can’t remember, it could be a 32g.
