ntique Ormolu JEWELRY BOX / Cherub-Footed Hollywood Regency Gold Filigree

Antique Ormolu oval cherub footed jewelry / casket box. Four large cherubs have arms outstretched "holding" up the box. Shiny golden color on the cherubs and surrounding sides. The top lid has a 3-inch hinge but has been detached as pictured, so it will need repaired. There is a tan velveteen interior mat that has discoloration, most likely due to antique jewelry. The bottom of the feet of the cherubs shows wear. Ormolu is also known as gilt bronze. It is used to refer to a bronze object that has a handle that rests on the box when closed. It is used to refer to a bronze object that has been covered with gold, typically 18 or 24 k. This is most likely from the 1920s. Sold as is. Please refer to pics for dimensions.
