I had actually been reading an article on a UK blog something like Consumer reports only for some reason much more interesting... doing a comparison of the various pens that the various participants in the open call for entries questionnaires deemed their favorite or best instrument for their particular use!

satchel09 Then they boiled it down to 100 writing instruments and everyone at the publication gave them a whirl, and graded them on 4 different attributes bleed through, smudginess, smoothness in writing and appearance

satchel09 They then averaged the scores, ranked them from 100-1, making evaluations that very often were sentimental, or personal etc. sarcasm popped up on occasion. Actually the Pilot G-2 was a highly regarded experience... so perhaps you should consider offering it in original packaging and provenance, wait a couple of months and price it appropriately... mid $1,000 US jumps to mind!
