beautyshineson @kontogonis Many do get ripped off so they don't do it. I you do, make sure it's someone that's been on her awhile & has lots of sales as well as trades. I've known several ppl that have traded successfully without problems also. Read what's written under their 'trade' deals (usually $3 items that say sold). I'd wait awhile if I were you. Get to know posh & it's ins & outs. Just my thoughts. And thanks for the adventure hookup! Lindy💕xx

kontogonis @leongll yes. Sharing works when you share my listing it posts to your followers feed. It's a way to help get items exposure. In the Posh community that's how we help each other out. You should also share your own items. The more you share the more others will share for you. If you notice a user shares like 5 or 10 of your listings it's customary to return the favor. I get behind cuz I work full time and have a toddler.

kontogonis @leongll parties are basically a theme showroom. So shoes. Any listing that is categorized as a shoe you share and it pops up in the party. It's like a feed tho so different people see different things. It's always moving cuz users are constantly sharing. But yes you have the basic idea. Basically a party is like Ok everybody let's look at and share SHOES for example and it helps listings circulate.

kontogonis @leongll (sorry for the broken up comments, character limit is 500) you have also prob seen "Host Pick" in some titles of listings. When there's a party there are a handful of users who are the "hosts" meaning they are running it. I looked into it, it's a big job and time consuming but there are sign up sheets and such if you search around.

kontogonis @leongll The "host pick" is considered an honor of sorts and so when an item is chosen often times the user will put it in the title to help get exposure even after the party ends...parties are SUPPOSED to be like "the best of.." whatever the category is. usually people share anything and everything and it can be annoying but if you really like Free People brand that's a good place to look cuz awesome items will be listed there.

kontogonis @jewelsie me too! If you look at my ISO listing you'll see "parka" and a very similar photo is listed there. I love Zara. Could you measure it and lmk what armpit to armpit measurement is (bust width) I just want to make sure 100% that it will fit. I'm guessing it's a slightly oversized cut tho and shouldn't be an issue. 🙂 I have 2 lighter weight Zara's in large and they fit but there's not much wiggle. I just know the brand runs small. If it's still there I will be placing my offer asap!

kontogonis @jewelsie it's because I am a suggested user. I applied for the program by emailing Posh SU program and they selected me in July. I also try my best to do as much sharing as humanly possible. I work full time (well, not anymore after tomorrow but usually) and have a toddler so Posh is NOT my priority or career but on free time I SHARE SHARE SHARE. Mainly tho the followers grow from suggested user status. You should apply! I also have a 5 star rating and over 200 sales which I think helps.

kontogonis @sarahbee720 hey boo! Well that's kind of a tough one cuz it's sort of subjective based on people's personal opinions. Generally how I MYSELF determine is just to go by listed price. I've seen closets that list an item at $20 and then say "$50 trade value" and honestly I DONT GET IT. Ha. The easiest way would be retail value if the item is new and if it's used go by listed value. Give me a scenario and maybe I can help more.

I also applied for the suggested user program last March and got the email I had been approved in June or July. The list takes a few months to cycle thru but I went from having like 5k to over 40k followers. It's just more exposure and I've found it helps with credibility as a seller. As long as you are Posh compliant and follow all the rules they should approve you at some point down the road. First of all add a few more (min 25 listings) and make sure they're all "Posh compliant" then apply for the suggested user program. You'll automatically get more followers quick. That's what really kicked me off. It took about 3 months to be selected. Start sharing like crazy now too. Especially big successful closets. Many share back which is the polite thing to do. Sharing is key.

You can also customize your own palettes !👍🏼 I think you'd love the tartiest pro eyeshadow palette for sure . The Abh Ren & peach Tf is way too warm for you 😬

So random it's tiny and locally owned and has random things (mainly cheap and made in Asia) but for some reason they have a giant NYX selection. Hahaha. kontogonis @julieholiday well, yes and no. A stock image is a photo of an item as it appears for sale online. Like a colourpop lipstick for example I take the image straight from the colourpop website. If I use swatch photos or anything from someone's blog or personal page I credit them in the details (mainly applies to makeup). Copyright laws are strict and it's common courtesy! 😉 and ask away---I'm a mentor as well so happy to help!

Lol not my fave season but doing my best not to complain! Kiddo is good, boyfriend is good. Are you still having a heatwave down there? I’m working on getting out of my head and into my new routine—stay at home winter mom. It’s always rough on me come this time of year.

mcjayne @kontogonis I’ve been in a dark dark place in my head this year...I’ve been having a tough time with my youngest (she’s 15 & has autism), so homeschooling is harder this year, she’s struggling with depression & anxiety, & it’s hard to watch your children suffer with something you know yourself. We recently had a suicide attempt, so trust me, I understand more than you know honey. I know people say it all the time, but I am here anytime, I feel exactly how you feel at times, life is HARD! 😘

When we have a horrible political situation, we have shootings left right & center, it’s hard to have any hope right now! So talk about starting all Over again! My middle daughter is making me a grandma, we are SOOO excited, it’s my first grand baby, I’m still not sure I’m ready to be this old though..I’ll be 50 in 3 years 😂but seriously? I feel 25, it’s great.

Said she had already been going thru the “change” and she was heavy back then so she hid it from everyone and was gonna adopt me out but when I was born she couldn’t go thru w/it so I get it! mcjayne @kontogonis I feel weird at this age, like less of a women somehow, I know that sounds weird, but when I had my hysterectomy, I was sad! one part of my life was over, I felt. All I had done was raise kids for so long, that I felt like I had lost my purpose. I’m better now, because I’m just as needed, if not more, now they are older. It’s another season of life, I’m learning to embrace. I’m grateful to be here, especially after my cancer battle, I feel like it’s time to enjoy life again. 😘

My youngest daughter is with dad in Ut for 2 weeks, she text me this morning that it was 21 degrees in park city!!! she’s happy to be back in the snow. We are all polar bears, we had a tough time this summer, my family has ALWAYS wanted to come to Alaska for that reason 😂

mcjayne @kontogonis I hit my first ever, full year remission, this year, Aug 3, omg I was shocked to be honest, I was never told to have hope, I knew I was terminal & I wasn’t handling it well-who would? I had a new baby, (they found my cancer while I was pregnant the second time), so it was a long period of fear & darkness, that’s the best way I can describe it. I don’t know how I got through that!

mcjayne @kontogonis My oldest has never used anything but the BM original foundation, I used it for about 8 years, which is the longest I’ve ever stuck with one product. I like a light foundation, I don’t wear liquids, (they tend to show my dry skin & lines more), & to be honest I can’t stand the feeling of liquid-I’m weird 😁

I had to stop doing that to myself & take every day I’m given & do something good with it. If it’s as simple as putting a smile on someone else’s face. When you are faced with the choice of dying or fighting? You get up & you FIGHT with all you have in you, we are so powerful, we don’t give ourselves credit for how amazing we are. 😘

I own way too much makeup (including new stuff 🤦🏼‍♀️) but I watched a ton of old vids and qvc demos and so I’m gonna go round two. Found a small size for cheap on here. mcjayne @kontogonis Over the counter, there’s a kick a$$ couch medicine, (it’s the strongest dosage you can get), it’s in an orange & blue bottle & it’s called DELSYM...it’s amazing & I used it on my girls often. They even liked the taste! My husband works nights, so we try to spend time together in the morning, but I’m always busy with something & it’s really hard to see each other sometimes. I feel you! kontogonis @mcjayne mines an auto/marine mechanic. Usually is home by 7am and sometimes works as late as 10-11pm. So it’s a treat today. Can’t recall the last time he just stayed home. His shop just got shut down so it’s a bit rocky but he does a million side jobs too so now he’s focusing on that til the smoke clears w/ his regular gig. Ava is doin better today. I will def look into that remedy! Thx for the advice. I feel like my mom had that for me. The name is super familiar!

kontogonis @fmrp I’ve noticed the same. The PO is confusing as far as their “scanning” system. When I used to take packages to the actual PO and stand in line on my lunch break they’d scan and give me a receipt but wouldn’t update status til evening hrs. Now I just put them in the outbox at my apt and he picks them up when delivering mail. They don’t update til later. I think it has more to do with post-sorting and being sent onto the next step, in my case the airport cuz all mail is flown out. 🤷🏼‍♀️

About a year ago I emailed Posh support and asked if they could remove or “undo” ALL my ❤️’s for me so I could just start fresh and clear out the ridiculousness. They wrote me back and said no, that I could go thru and do it myself. I asked if there was a “select all” option or any type of mass edit to which the answer was also a no. Ha! Oh well... so glad we found each other. Love ya!

I really do take pride in how it looks and my customer satisfaction. The followers came from the “suggested user” program. Which now has been changed to the “Poshmark ambassador” program. You should apply for it, make sure that your closet is in full compliance and meets the requirements for it.

You’ll notice random followers that are brand new members? When you first sign up it automatically follows you to like 20 people? That’s us, the “ambassadors”. Honestly I only follow closets that I want to follow, or I think are interesting, or I am friends with, or that I like the aesthetic of. I also comment to party hosts to check out my SHARED listings— rather than asking them to check out my own listings. I share to parties. But mostly I pick a theme for the day, or go to my fave closets and just share share share.

So really when you look at it that way you’re at about the same rate of followers as I am since you’re at 95k. You’ve just followed WAY more than me. Sorry for all the msgs. kontogonis @pmedina107 absolutely! Happy to help. As far as sales, no. It’s been a dead zone for months. Gonna have to majorly drop prices. 😕 but the ambassador thing happened like this: I was a “suggested user” which was the original program that became the “ambassador” program. So I switched automatically. Before you had to apply by emailing posh. So I will look into it and see if that’s still the case...

kontogonis @pmedina107 sharing helps. Both for exposure and growing network. Honestly, I talk to my really good posh friend often about how sometimes sales are amazing and sometimes they’re poo. At times there’s no rhyme or reason to it. I’ve spent hours sharing and ended up getting discouraged but it does help. Keep up the good work! And definitely email them and express interest. Who knows. It may expedite the process!

I suggested shortening the time funds are held after delivery or maybe having a dual rating system where sellers also rate buyers. They actually responded and said they’d forward my email and that they’re working on it. Let’s see how long it takes for stuff to actually happen.

kontogonis @twisted_hangerx hahaha ok that should be fine. I’ll just be careful with them. It happens from a combo of overstretching and high heat from the dryer. It breaks down the elastic. And I hate that it happened to like three of my fave pairs (vanilla star ones similar to this style) and my local Fred Meyer seems to be phasing out the brand.

kontogonis @twisted_hangerx you’re welcome! I am trying to come up with a better way of explaining it. Sounds so weird to ask hey do these jeans have stretch marks? Lol but yeah it happens to mine in the crotch/thigh area because I’m thick on bottom and after a recent weight gain all of my pants were too tight. Coupled with lazy laundry habits and just nuking them to death in the dryer this happens. I do mine on low heat til like half dry and then hang em up. Gonna see if that helps.

twisted_hangerx @kontogonis 🤣 It's nice talking to you your so funny lol. I did find another pair of my jeans starting to do that. I recently put on weight also, calling it quarantine weight. I went up a whole size! I will definitely try your trick. I also heard to always wash your jeans inside out to protect something lol. I figure why not and it does seem to help with wearing quickly. 🤷‍♀️
