vintage BLACK VELVET JACKET S M

Black velvet vintage jacket, I'm having a hard time placing the exact era. Has slightly gathered shoulders, like you would see in the late 30's/early 40's. Excellent quality velvet, not sure if it's silk? NOT the cheap-feeling velvet from the 70's/80's. Great drape like the late 20's, but almost borderline boxy like the 60's? Lined in light yellow acetate. Someone added the deco style neckline accents at some point, they are hand-sewn on. Maybe at one time it was a 'closure', but the hook is missing, so it doesn't actually close. Great condition overall, though. There are a few spots on the lining, and there are a few rhinestones missing in the neckline accents. All flaws pictured. Nothing anyone else will notice while you're wearing this, though. This is great over an evening dress, or even with jeans! Please compare the measurements below with a jacket you have at home that fits well. Yellow 1930's dress listed separately.
