The waist of the jeans (28 inches) fits well on me as I'm pleasantly surprised that my waist is a hair larger. Its probably the Free People brand that makes that possible, but I could be wrong. The length is just right, as they come an inch or so away from the ground, so they don't drag around. The best part is the really wide leg opening. The 20 inch leg opening is really wide and looks really cool! In all, I love these jeans from Free People!
