I went to the Stuart Weitzman store today to authenticate them and yes, they are real. I owe you an apology. I cannot speak on behalf of the others, but my boots are real. I'm sorry I jumped to conclusions - 400 is a lot of money for me, so I got incredibly worried. I apologize again for the trouble and will definitely give you a five star rating!
